Cookies & Local Storage

Last updated: May 13, 2026

This page explains the browser storage and similar technologies currently used by Relationships Tracker.

1. What we currently use

At the moment, Relationships Tracker primarily relies on necessary browser storage rather than advertising or tracking cookies. The main purpose of the app is reminder and note-keeping, and this storage helps the app remember the information and preferences you explicitly asked it to keep.

2. Examples of necessary storage

  • Session information so the app can remember that you are signed in.
  • Saved reminder preferences and local app settings.
  • Locally stored relationship data when the app is being used in local mode or device-based mode.

3. What we do not currently rely on by default

The current app version is not built around advertising cookies or third-party marketing trackers. If the app later introduces ads, analytics, or other non-essential tracking tools, this page should be updated and a consent flow should be reviewed before those technologies are enabled for EU users.

4. Why this matters

Some storage is necessary for core app features. Without it, sign-in, reminders, saved preferences, and app continuity may not work as expected.

5. Managing storage

You can clear browser storage from your browser settings. Inside the app, signed-in users can also delete saved relationship data from the account area. Clearing browser storage may sign you out or remove local preferences.

6. Future updates

If the app later adds ads, analytics, marketing, or other non-essential tracking, this page and the user-facing notice should be updated accordingly.
